Marius Müller-Westernhagen New Member of the Honorary Senate of the Foundation

During the opening of the 72nd Lindau Meeting, German singer and songwriter Marius Müller-Westernhagen was inducted into the Honorary Senate of the Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Being unable at short notice to attend the opening in Lindau, he received his Certificate of Induction signed by the members of the board of the foundation during a subsequent ceremony in Berlin. On the occasion of the handover by Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Board of Directors, guests as Nobel Laureate Emmanuelle Charpentier (Chemistry 2020), members of the council and guests, attended the festive lunch.

“Not only with his lyrics, but also with his personal commitment, the artist who has been influential in the German-speaking world for decades stands up for diversity, humanity, freedom and against racism,“ explained Jürgen Kluge the invitation for Marius Müller-Westernhagen to become Honorary Senator. The members of the most prestigious committee of the Foundation function as advisors to the board and distinguished ambassadors for the cause of the Lindau Meetings. The new Honorary Senator: “I support with all my heart your vision and your hard work for a better and fairer world.“
