Reinhard Genzel with media on the Nobel Pier in Lindau

What´s in Store for Journalists?

At the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, the world’s best young scientists in their disciplines meet Nobel Laureates with all their scientific expertise and life experience. This constellation alone offers numerous points of reference for reporting on current topics and in a wide variety of formats every year.

Lindau Awaits You in the Future

We are looking forward to welcoming journalists from all over the world back to Lindau in person from 2022 onwards. In addition to press talks, the communications team organises interviews with Nobel Laureates for media representatives. This valuable insight is complemented by the numerous opportunities for discussions with the participants of the Meeting, especially during the social programme, such as the end-of-week trip to the island of Mainau. In this way, the young scientists can provide individual insights into their research topic and the labour situation of researchers around the world. The Meeting also offers the opportunity to get to know colleagues and to network internationally.

International journalists who would like to cover the Meeting in Lindau may apply for travel grants. The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings will compensate grant recipients for accommodation costs for up to five nights and transportation costs. The next application period will start in spring 2022.
