Nobel Laureate Karl Alexander Müller 1927 – 2023

The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings and the Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings deeply mourn the loss of Karl Alexander Müller, who was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics 1987 for the “important break-through in the discovery of superconductivity in ceramic materials.”

From 1988–2013, K. Alex Müller participated in seven Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.

The Council and Foundation extend their deep sympathies to his whole family.
