What Makes Lindau Unique
Since 1951, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings have brought together top-level research and the next generation: Each summer, Nobel Laureates meet around 600 Young Scientists from about 100 countries – accompanied by international media and public relations work.
In 2026, we will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings from 28 June to 3 July 2026. Our communications team in Lindau is excited for your support in the preparation and follow-up – and of course during the Meeting week as the primary contact at the Press Desk.
For you, that means a steep learning curve and the chance to help shape a major anniversary communications campaign.
Your Impact
- Becoming a valued member of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings communications team (4 colleagues)
- Support of accreditation and liaison for international journalists in the run-up
- First point of contact for journalists in the Media Lounge during the meeting
- Planning and coordination of media conversations with Nobel Laureates
- Support in creating materials such as press releases, news items, and information for attending media (English/German)
- Owned media: editorial work for social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) and the blog
- Responsibility for the Daily Recap format during the meeting week
- Support for implementing the anniversary branding
What We Are Looking For
- You are a student of communications/media/PR, political/social sciences, or natural sciences with a communications focus
- Strong interest in science communication
- Ability to convey complex content precisely, clearly, and engagingly, both for a scientifically literate audience and the general public, in German and English
- Structure, reliability, a sense of responsibility, and team spirit – even when things get busy
- Bonus points: experience with CMS, image/video editing, databases, digital tools, project management
