Dr. Christoph Philipp

Christoph Philipp is a partner with SKW Schwarz in Munich, where he advises private individuals, family entrepreneurs, family offices, and foundations on asset structuring, national and international succession planning, wider inheritance law and inheritance tax law. Previously, he worked as an attorney and partner at Poellath Law Firm from 2003 to 2024, where he developed a broad expertise in tax and corporate law and was steadily among Handelsblatt’s German’s Best Lawyers for succession and assets.

Christoph Philipp obtained a doctorate in inheritance tax law from the university of Münster, where he also earned his LL.M. He holds a large number of mandates on company supervisory boards, as executor of wills and on the boards of various charitable foundations (including the board of the Max Planck Foundation and the board of the Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Foundation).
