Yesterday’s festive opening ceremony marked the first highlight of the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting including very warm welcome addresses by Countess Bettina Bernadotte and Anja Karliczek, German Federal Minister of Education and Research. In an impassionate keynote address, Nobel Laureate Brian Schmidt highlighted the important link between science and society today.
