Daily Recap – Tuesday, 23 August 2022

An eventful opening day of the 7th Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences has come to a close: The official Opening Ceremony featured greetings from various top-class guests. Afterwards, we started our academic programme with the lectures of the 2020 Laureates Paul R. Milgrom and Robert B. Wilson. It was followed by the panel discussion on the topic of “Auctions” with the Laureates Milgrom, Myerson and Wilson and young economist Angie Acquatella.

As this is the first Economics Meeting since the inauguration of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Pier in 2019, this picture shows some of the Laureates for the first time standing on the pier. Together with all other about 400 Laureates, who have attended a Lindau Meeting their names are engraved in the guardrails.
