Joyful Reunion: Nobel Laureate Peter Agre and Beate Hein-Bennett, daughter of one of the Meeting’s founders

The third day of the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting started with Lectures and Agora Talks. After a good meal, all participants were recharged and ready to dive back into the world of chemistry and to discuss artificial intelligence in chemistry at the Panel. The Open Exchanges offered room for more private questions in a smaller group setting. As tradition has it, the popular Grill & Chill in the evening provided for a relaxed atmosphere to connect with Nobel Laureates, experience a taste of German barbecue culture, and even meet some Lindau residents (who might just share a few insider tips on the best hidden spots in town?).

Today marks the halfway point of this year’s Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. But no need to worry — the coming days are packed with more exciting Lectures, Agora Talks, and Open Exchanges as well as the Boat Trip to Mainau Island.

Quote of the Day

“It is my duty as a Nobel Laureate to give hope and dreams to younger generations.”

Akira Yoshino, Chemistry 2019
