Tanja Bhuiyan

Lindau Alumna Tanja is a postdoc at the University Medical Center Freiburg in Germany, where she is studying transcriptional regulation and epigenetic mechanisms in human cells. She received her PhD degree from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2015. With her grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation, she studied in vivo gene-editing tools at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and at the Broad Institute in the US. Tanja advocates for the interests of young scientists: she was PhD student representative at the departmental faculty board in Lausanne and member of the Karolinska Institute Postdoc Association.
